Two men tried to deposit checks made out to various names for $925 with 14 banks on' Feb. 20, asking that $525 be deposited to the account and $400 cash withdrawn. Nine of the banks gave the men the cash. When the Vasiloffs were arrested, they had $3,580 in cash on them. Police found in their possession nine more checks from the transfer company that already had been made out to other accounts.
