As I mentioned, this recipe is super simple. It might take a few extra minutes to make all of the colors, but it isabsolutely worth it! And really it isn’t THAT much time.

Make certain that you talk to the kids before you make the slime because they need to understand that it’s not going to stay rainbow once they start playing with it. They may want it to stay that way, but it’s going to get mixed.

Rainbow Slime Recipe

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Active Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Materials

1/4 cup Elmer’s glue
1/2 tablespoon hot water
1/4 teaspoon Borax
Food coloring

Instructions

1. In a small mixing bowl, mix together 1/4 cup Elmer’s glue with 1/2 tablespoon of hot water.

2. Mix in a few drops of food coloring depending on the color you want.

3. In your remaining 1/4 cup of hot water, mix in your borax until dissolved.

4. Pour your borax water into your glue mixture and mix (slime will start forming right away).

5. Remove the slime with your hands and knead it in your hands until it starts to form into one clump.

6. Now repeat with your next color until you have pink, yellow, orange, green, and blue.
