By Jessica Inman Staff Writer Every morning for 10 years, with an inflection in his deep voice, Wendell Husebo woke Lake County AM-radio listeners up with a smile. Before the voices of artists such as Frank Sinatra or Bing Crosby crooned over WLBE, he might say something like, "Top of the morning and hope you have a BhHK BR Orlando Sentinel (V. "He was just a neat guy who did everything well." organic. Longtime client and friend Jim Hardy of Lake Ear Nose Throat said, "Husebo's work was always in my opinion, well written, pertinent, to the point, not obnoxious and overclaiming." A humble man who maintained that rain was "liquid sunshine," his son said his distinctive quality was that his outlook never unraveled. "The way he was at work was the way he was at home, at tennis courts; he was consistent," Lanny said.
Hardy, who met him on the tennis courts of Silver Lake Country Club, remarked on his perpetual smile no matter the result of the game. The two shared a friendly football rivalry: Husebo adored the Florida Gators while Hardy was a Georgia Bulldogs fan. When their team lost, the loser had to wear the opponent's colors and sing the fight song. Though Husebo never lost when the bet was on, Hardy had no doubt he would have participated. Although music had taken a back seat to business after he opened Husebo Advertising Public Relations, he continued to lead groups in singing at an array of community events.
Born in Minnesota, Husebo's aptitude for live performance is rooted in Minne-apolis-St. Paul, where he and his brother Paul sang alongside their mother's piano accompaniment at various churches in the area. For Husebo, who was a charter member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, faith was an integral component of his life. Jack Nelson, one of his original clients at Golden Gem Growers, perhaps said it best: "He was just a neat guy who did everything well." In addition to his son Lanny, Wendell Frederick Husebo is survived by son Larry Husebo, New Smyrna; daughter Sandra Husebo Odom, Park City, Mont; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. She spent the last 3 years of her life with her children in Orlando. Elizabeth is survived by loving family including son Allan (Bonnie) Begany of Fenton, MO, daughters Virginia (Michael) Clark and Mary Katherine (William) Colclasure of Orlando, FL, 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

He was 87. With a crop of dark hair and glasses to match, Husebo sold air time to potential customers in Leesburg or Eustis by leaving the office and meeting them where they worked.
"He was a natural, he was just a natural," Lanny said. For Husebo, who first flexed his flair for writing in the development of his radio scripts, the creation of copy for clients and press releases also was RAUCH, SANDI (PASONSKI), 58, longtime resident of Lake Mary, passed away on December 9, 2014. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bob; three sons, Major Robert Rauch of the US Air Force (Tanya), Patrick (Meredith), and Tyler (Heather). She is also survived by her four beloved grandchildren, Robby, Ryan, Evan and Lila; her mother Evie Pasonski of Melbourne; siblings Connie, Barry, Tim and Dale; and 12 nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, George Pasonski.
A devoted wife and mother, she loved hosting family gatherings and filling her home with the sounds of laughter, story sharing and inside jokes. When she wasn't surrounding herself with family and many dear friends, Sandi's passions took her to AAA, where she worked 25 years before recently retiring as a marketing manager. He joined the US Air Force at 17 and did two tours, including an overseas tour in Turkey. Upon his discharge from the service he married Nancy Kite in 1984.
Bob loved all sports, especially The Boston Bruins, The Boston Red Sox and NASCAR.
