Day 1: Arrive in Montego Bay in Jamaica
Welcome to Montego Bay, Jamaica! Paradise has knocked at your door and is waiting for you. Your designated driver will meet you at the airport and whisk you away to an air-conditioned vehicle as you make your way to your hotel. Check into your hotel, get freshened up, walk around the grounds and soak in your new home for the next few days. Feel free to grab lunch at your hotel. If you're looking to mingle with the locals for lunch, head over to the famous Pier 1 or Island Grill located in Montego Bay, Jamaica. If you're looking to take in the nightlife, Pier 1 brings the party! Trust me, you'll never forget this experience.
Day 2: Dunn's River Falls in Jamaica
Your trip to Jamaica must start with a Jamaican breakfast. Feast on the island favorites. Ackee and saltfish, fried dumplings, callaloo, boiled banana, and pear (avocado)! Now I expect you to eat only some of that, but maybe try a little bit of everything. After breakfast, grab your swimwear, towels, and swim shoes and head to Dunn's River Falls, located in Ocho Rios, Jamaica. It is one of the most prized attractions for locals and tourists. You'll have time to climb the falls, ride the zipline, visit the central gardens while you grab a bite to eat, and soak up the sun at the beach! Purchasing your tickets before is encouraged to avoid any delays on your adventure. Head back to your hotel, unwind, and grab some dinner at the hotel.
Day 3: Rose Hall Great House in Jamaica
Now that you've had a chance to experience Dunn's River Falls, prepare yourself for Rose Hall Great House. Rose Hall Great House, located in Montego Bay, Jamaica, tells the tale of Annee Palmer. Annee Palmer was famously known to have killed her three husbands after having numerous relationships with slaves. Unfortunately, Annee Palmer met her demise when she was killed by one of her slaves. This tour will leave you captivated and intrigued as you spend your time on the grounds. Please note that day tours are offered only from Monday to Saturday and night tours if you're looking to immerse yourself and have a more thrilling experience. Night tours are offered from Wednesday-Saturday. I strongly recommend that you purchase your tickets in advance as this is a popular site to visit. After your tour, head to Juici Patties and feast on some more of the famous Jamaican cuisine.
Day 4: Day Trip to Negril in Jamaica
Friend, you've been on the move and today is your day to take a breather! Pack a little bag, because we're taking a day trip to Negril. Negril is my favorite parish because of its beautiful sandy beaches, and friendly locals who are waiting to welcome you with open arms. Spend the day on a catamaran, listening to reggae and sipping on a glass of refreshing rum punch. You can also ride around on horseback which gives you the chance to take in views of the beach and nature around you. After taking part in activities, head over to my favorite spot, Rick's Cafe. I love Rick's Cafe because of the food, but mainly because I have the chance to watch people go cliff jumping! I've never done it myself, but I hear that your visit isn't complete unless you do that. If heights aren't your thing like me, sit back and relax while you look on. Now that we've watched the excitement of others, get your cameras ready and be prepared to watch the most magical sunset. Your family and friends will swoon over those photos and imagine themselves there. Did I mention that Rick's Cafe is also known for its day parties and nighttime fun, so be prepared to get on the dance floor if you choose.
Day 5: A Day to Relax in Jamaica
Can you believe that your time has almost come to an end? I know! Say it isn't so! Whether you're staying at an all-inclusive resort or somewhere else, take this time to take advantage of the spa accommodations, read a good book as the beach waves wash over your feet, and maybe some shopping therapy. After all, your friends and family will want some souvenirs.
Day 6: Last Day in Jamaica in Jamaica
Our time has come to an end. Goodbyes are never easy! Look at this as see you later. Jamaica is just a plane ride away. Remember paradise awaits, don't stay away too long. Depending on the time of your flight, feel free to tour Montego Bay some more. Take some time to head rafting on the Martha Brae River, visit the Rocklands Bird Sanctuary which I adore, or the Greenwood Great House. Montego Bay has so much to offer!
