Mr. Fischer was born raised in Mpis, attended Robbinsdale High School. During WWII he received his first taste of Electronic Media when he worked for Armed Forces Radio Network on Guam. After his discharge from the Navy in 1946, he attended Brown Institute in Mpis. His first television job was in 1953 with WTCNTV as Asst.

Sports Dir. In 1956, Mr. Fischer was the morning show personality on WRIT in Milwaukee, WI. His newsman was Tom Snyder, who later went on to the NBC network in Los Angeles. Mr.

Fisher then took over the programming duties for WNOE Radio, a 50,000 Watt clear channel station covering the entire southland in New Orleans. While there he hired Gary Owens for the morning show. Gary became a big hit in LA on the television show Laugh-In. In 1966, Larry began his career in Advertising Sales, he soon became General Sales Mgr of WRDW-TV in Augusta, GA. In 1973, he moved his family to San Luis Obisto where he became Station Mgr.

5 years later he moved to Santa Barbara where he became General Sales Mgr for KEYTTV. He came to Santa Maria in 1981 joined KCOY-TV General Sales Mgr. In January 1992, Mr. Fischer began Larry Fischer Advertising, a full service advertising agency. Mr.

Fischer was preceded in death by his first wife, Doree Arnold Moore of Anoka, MN.
