Iowa man wins $300,000 on scratch-off lottery ticket
A Clive man turned $30 into $300,000 this week. Dale Hoppe, of Clive, bought a $30 "Premiere" scratch-off ticket at Hy-Vee, 555 S. 51st St. in West Des Moines and won one of the game's 17 top prizes of $300,000.Hoppe claimed his winnings Friday at Iowa Lottery headquarters in Clive.Iowans have claimed 32 lottery prizes of $250,000 or more in 2024. Three Iowans have claimed Powerball prizes worth at least $1 million this year.
